The U.S. configurator for the BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe has just gone live, allowing prospective buyers or enthusiasts like ourselves to create your dream 228i or M235i xDrive.
Those who opt for the BMW M235i xDrive Gran Coupe have seven paint finishes available. The most basic shade is Alpine White while there are five metallic colors each priced at $550 and a sixth metallic, dubbed Storm Bay Metallic, priced at $1,200. Our perfect M235i xDrive is bathed in Misano Blue Metallic.
Next, you can choose the wheels of which there are five different designs varying from 18-inch to 19-inch. Move to the cabin and there are five Dakota Leather options on offer. The most eye-catching is Magma Red but for our car we opted for Mocha, a deep shade of brown that complements the bright paintwork nicely.
There are two interior option packages available for the car. The first, Parking Assistance Package, is priced at $200 and includes the company’s Parking Assistant, Active Park Distance Control, and a Rear View Camera. The second option is the $2,650 Premium Package that includes a digital gauge cluster, Head-up display, Connected Package Pro, Adaptive LED headlights, heated steering wheel, heated front seats, and a universal garage-door opener.
A handful of individual options are also available, including a Remote Engine Start, Adaptive Cruise Control, wireless charging, a panoramic moonroof, and a Harman Kardon surround sound system.
