Ken Block Hoons His Special Ford F-150 Raptor In Utah

Ken Block recently took delivery of his heavily-modified Ford F-150 Raptor and headed to Moab in Utah to see what his potent off-roader is made of.

All F-150 Raptors are exceptionally capable when they leave the Ford factory but Block sent his pickup to SVC Offroad in California, a tuning company with experience making Raptors even more capable.

Found beneath the skin of the Raptor are Fox 3.5 bypass shock absorbers up front and Fox 4.0 bypass shock absorbers at the rear. Additionally, Block’s latest toy includes 17-inch Fifteen52 Turbomac HD alloy wheels with 37-inch Toyo Open County M/T tires. Not only does this wheel and tire combination ensure the Raptor can tackle difficult terrain at high speeds, they also provide the vehicle with a head-turning look.

SVC Offroad also worked extensively on the off-roader’s powertrain. As such, power from the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 has been pumped up to 550 hp and 600 lb-ft (813 Nm) of torque thanks to an ECU reflash, performance intake, stainless steel exhaust system, and SPD adapters for the turbochargers. These engine modifications, as well as the suspension alterations, means Block is able to easily kick out the truck’s rear-end and drift around corners with speed and precision.

Block decided the rocky and dusty terrain found in Utah would be the perfect place to put the pickup through its paces and it’s certainly more than capable of hooning around in the dirt. Sure, it may not be as fast as one of Block’s rally cars but it sure as hell looks just as fun.
